Noël van Dooren (1967) currently holds the Sustainable Foodscapes in Urban Regions chair at Van Hall Larenstein Velp, and operates as a self employed landscape architect. His strength is in combining research, teaching, writing and practice. He is a returning guest at several schools of landscape architecture in Europe. The main issues in his work are water, food, time and drawing. In 2017 he defended his dissertation Drawing Time.
